Data Deletion.

This is a plain-language summary of how to delete your data from Content OS. It is not legal advice. Last updated June 19, 2026.

You can delete your Content OS account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets deleted, and how to recover within the grace period.

How to delete your account in the app

  1. Sign in to Content OS.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone (/settings/account/danger-zone).
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

Your account is then scheduled for deletion and enters the grace period described below.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, or prefer not to use the in-app flow, you can request deletion by email. Write to content.os.saas@gmail.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We will verify your identity and process the request.

What gets deleted

Deletion removes the personal data we hold for your account, including:

  • Your account and profile (email, name, username, preferences).
  • Your Instagram connection, including the encrypted access token.
  • Your content and metrics (reels, captions, thumbnails, per-post metrics, follower history).
  • AI-generated data (transcriptions, analysis, visual descriptions, vector embeddings).
  • AI assistant chat history.
  • Your billing reference (your subscription is canceled; payment records held by Stripe follow Stripe's own retention).

Grace period and permanent deletion

When you delete your account, your data enters a 90-day grace period. During this window the deletion is recoverable — contact us if you change your mind. After 90 days, your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

Export your data first

Before deleting, you can export a copy of your data for your records. The export option is available from the same Account section in Settings. If you need help exporting, contact us at the email above.

Note on availability

The in-app deletion and export flow at Settings → Account → Danger Zone ships with our account-management release. Until then, the email request above is the guaranteed path, and we will honor any deletion request promptly.
